I've had a problem on my 86 240 with front end shimmy ever since I put on a set of used volvo mag wheels (25 straight thin spokes). Problem was initially masked as the tire guys damaged a few tires causing tire buldges (although perhaps this was bead shift from bent wheels). Later on spin balance did I observe out of round rims. Seems like one wheels even took out a lower ball joint (ball joint less than 2 yrs old.

I don't see too many volvos on the road with the factory mag wheels. Is this because they all get bent & thrown out?? Can you hammer them like a steel wheel?? Is it worth looking for another used set (& where). Where can I buy another set of new or aftermarket "stock" mags wheels??
