Torque Converter Wont Unlock 900 1993

I have a 1993 965 with 180,000 mis. It acts like a locking torque converter that wont let go. When stopping, it shudders around 10-15 mph, releasing a about 8 mph. Also, the 3-4 shift is overly hard. I'd appreciate any fix or advice. Thanks.
