I just finished installing an overhauled cylinder head on my 1990 740 GLE B234F engine. Several problems have cropped up. first one....the idle is rough. Sounds like a vacuum leak but found none. barely runs when the AC is switched on. Is the larger of the two vacuum lines under the intake manifold used for anything? I have searched for something that belongs there with no luck.
I am also looking for some good schematics for the temp control and indicating system any hints? I'm not sure which wire to ground on the temp sender to check and see whether the indicator is bad, the wiring or the sender. I got some great advice from a guy here on brickboard, I just don't know how to go about doing it. The temp sender is currently pegged in the cold end. It does work sometimes though.....it will flicker then go back to steady peg.
