Power trunk lock details 200 83

I snagged a power trunk lock motor w/actuating arm this weekend at the salvage yard. The 240 I got it off of was a newer ('86 - ) model, so I don't know if the lock cylinder specifics are the same or not. Do I need the white plastic collar around the lock cylinder? Or are the earlier models different? Thanks...
