need help. rust on area from driver's door open sensor-down to 1/4 of same area on floor (rocker pa 200 1991

I don't know what that area is called but the problem is that the PO had inadvertently pushed the sunroof drain back into its hole and now i have rust (bad from the inside) of that area. Need to replace section from where roof pillar connects to body of car (drivers side only) to first 1/4 of section (foot step) (about half length of driver's door (directly underneath).

Now, the problem is, the body shop can't find that piece as one section. According to his book, the ENTIRE rockerpanel? (eg surrounding the front door back door between including area around roof and floor IS ONE PIECE and it costs USD2000.

I just bought this car 3 weeks ago, a 1991 240 Sedan widh 66,000 miles for 3,400. It needs a paint job, A/C fixed (quoted at $300.), and radio. I've spent $1000 on a tune up, odometer fixing, wiper moter, water pump, and engine seal replacement.

I love this car and i know it will last me forever. The ONLY rusting area seems to be this area and it was completely invisible until I had to adjust the door (hinge) and found to my horror the drain hose and rust damage.

My question:

1) CAN SOMEONE PLEASE CONFIRM IF THIS SECTION CAN BE BOUGHT ON ITS OWN?

I figure it must be since i know that it is quite a popular spot for rust to form (on that bottom section where the water from the drain hose and rain seems to pool a bit).

If it can be ordered, please advise part number if you know it.

Thanks and sorry so long but i'm desperate.

Bye,
