Today I slid into a curb and high centered my silver 83' 242Ti going only about 30 on a sharp unfamiliar corner to enter an onramp. The left front wheel slammed into the curb, same with the right rear, and all of the damage is underneath, no body damage besides a detached piece of front trim, and partially detached mudflaps and rear muffler guard.
I only have liability insurance, and nobody else was involed, and nobody was hurt, so basicially I had the car towed to my side yard, where i just set it up on jackstands. The rear wheel is bent so that it contacts the caliper and wont spin all the way around. I am going to have to put off these repairs for quite a while beacuse I am a broke college student, but the car is still worth saving. The engine still runs, but im sure there could be damage to possibly the brake system and fuel lines, and there is some scraping on the bottom of the gas tank.
If anyone has any suggestions about what I should do, as far as lining up possible repair parts, it would be appreciated. Today is one of the worst days for me, espicially considering it's my first car, and I have taken such good care of it. It will also need new swaybars, tires, steering components, definetly a right A arm (control arm?) and not sure about the left. There is probably a lot of scraping damage under the car from when thy had to tow it off of the curb it was high centered on.
Thanks for the help,
Zack
