Wife's 89 740 (non-turbo) had symptoms of weak battery= slow cranking and then finally no cranking at all. Battery reads 13 volts. Have replaced the starter last year with a known good one. Have narrowed the culprit to the
Neutral Saftey Switch located against the shift column. How does one test to see if it is OK or not? I will run current to the thin wire on the starter tomorrow & see if the starter cranks. The FAQ section did not mention this switch very much. Anyone had trouble with this switch before?
