Leaky seal Bertone moonroof '89 700 1989

What kind of adhesive/glue should be used when replacing the glass roof seal? Also has anyone experience in dealing with a semi-rusty metal frame which is factory glued to the glass?? I can get the Volvo seal at about $350 CDN for the 3 metre piece. There is also a second short piece at the rear of the glass frame but that is fine.

I just bought this beauty and would like to keep it humming so any other links or sources of reliable parts/info would be appreciated.
