A few weeks ago my car overheated and when I took a look at it, there was hardly any coolant in the system; took about 5 quarts of coolant/water to refill. I noticed that my expansion tank cap had some small cracks in it, so I surmised that since it has been so hot and I've been driving so much, that was the problem.... I had never seen any leaks on the driveway or pavement. All was fine for a week. I checked the fluid again and it was low... not as low as the first time, but low still. After I filled up the coolant I noticed a small splash of coolant directly below the radiator, but that was all. I ordered a new expansion tank cap and put it on yesterday. Noticed that even though I had been driving the car there was no pressure built up under the cap. Again, just assumed that it was because of the cracks in the cap. Now I have radiator fluid seeping through the lower half of the radiator itself... it kinda pools and then majorly drips. Does this mean that my radiator is shot? If so, any suggestions on where to purchase a reasonably priced one? Any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris Powers
