A 240 Type-R! That'd be Sweeeet!
Okay good, so now everyone's paying attention...
Sorry to be a bugger like that but I didn't get many responses last time on my No-start problem.
I'll run down what's up. It's an '82 244, w/Chyrsler Ignition. I had posted that there was no spark at the coil, and that there was gas coming out of the bottom of the FI unit, but no gas in the cylinder.
Ignition, and main computers switched out, two different ignition switches, coils, and now the hall sensor unit thingee has been changed too.
The good news is that I am no longer wasting valuable (ha) gas out the FI unit. The 'custum' CSI had been switched on the whole time the ignition switch was on so it just sprayed a bunch of fuel right down there. But I still don't know why the gas isn't making it to the cylinders?
The no-spark problem sounds much like the question a few posts down. There is voltage at the coil on the plus side, but also on the minus side (no pulse). The distributor turns. I'm going to check the connector at the distributor right now. Could the starter solenoid (groan) be causing this nonsense? How can I test it?
I hope you're not too mad at me for my title to respond. I'd really appreciate any help. I don't want this to be the end for my car.
