Help..What size?? 200 1985

I am getting ready to pull my turbo any day now. I've already started applying penetrating oil to the first bolts that will have to come off. By reading FAQ and the archives I see that I should also look at seals behind oil filter adapter. The one reference to wrench/socket sizes says that a 30mm deep socket is required but that a 1 1/8 will work and that a 32mm wrench is required. Can anyone confirm this for me as I have neither and will need to have them before I tear apart my only car. Thanks in advance.
