Is the AMM adjustable? fuel mixture 700 1989

In my 1989 - 745Ti, there's a screw on the top of my AMM, is this for a fuel mixture or a variable resistor of some type?

I know that the computer controls the mixture, but does this screw modify the signal sent by the AMM to the computer?

My wagon is continually running rich, no matter what I do and I am looking for a solution. Even if I have to go to a shop with a gas analyzer.
