WEird noise AFTER accelerating??? 900 91

My B230FT has 220k...still has good power, I replaced the turbo last year with a lo mileage one from a recycler.

When I release the pedal, after having accelerated, i get a gasping noise that turns into a rattle that is like tin cans being pulled behind the car. I know...weird!

Anyway, I don't think it is an engine noise cause I can't seem to make the noise in the driveway with the hood up. I have decided it is a turbo noise or a driveline noise.

I have NOT yet replaced the tailshaft bushing or the tranny mount or the u-joints or the center support bearing.

Any ideas?
