960 Look Out 900 95

If you have a 960, I please take off the plastic cover atop the engine and examine the female connectors at each of the six coils. I suspect you will likely find crumbling insulation, brittle barrels and poor connections. I can tell you these can fail you anytime. You will also likely find crumbling wire sleeves that will allow wire chaffing againt the engine head. For a tale of accompanying maladies, I refer you to posts by General Patton a few weeks ago. If you look, please post what you find. If this is problem is widespread as I suspect, I would like us to catch it before it catches us. If repairs are needed, you will find the number and price for the required Volvo part posted by Mr. Randstrom below. Please, remember to post what you find. Best regards.
