Lumbar support button loose in one direction, stuck in the other 900 1991

Dear all:

The button of the lumbar support turns without doing anything (i.e is loose) in one direction and turns normally in the other direction but then quickly feels as though it's "tight" and will not turn further.

No noticeable difference in the tension of the lumbar support itself.

What's wrong and what should I do about it?
