B20 power steering pump too tight ALL 1975

I cannot get the adjustment bolt to my power steering pump loose. any attempt with even a 6-point socket or box end wrench rounds it off. I can hardly even get to the thing. it's the bolt directly underneath the pump, half hidden by the pulley. This belt is very loose on my car, and i can't tighten it. so loose i could pry the belt on and off w/ a screwdriver) any suggestions??? I have a '75 245DL w/ the B20 motor. I'm thinking of just getting a new pump at a junkyard and replacing it. Thanks -Rob '75 green 245 in York PA
