Everyone,
Today I cleaned all exposed plastic and body metal in the engine - but the metal parts (engine block, et. al.) I left untouched because of lack of appropriate metal cleaner.
My father recommended, after I was done, to steam clean the engine so as to completely thoroughly the metal.
My question is - is this safe? Won't the pressure disrupt hoses, electrical connections, etc.? While working on it today, I noticed a few of the connections had been taped together by my mechanic (or a previous mechanic) and I worry that the steam will rip the connections apart.
Anyone had this done and have any insight? Or just advice in general?
Thanks,
Evan
