Fuel Problems 200 1988

I was recently going over my 1988 240 DL wagon and doing routine

maintenance. I had jacked up the front of the car about 20 inches so

I could check ball joints, etc. After letting the car down, it would

not start. I am not getting any fuel to the fuel injection rail. It

seems odd to me that a part of the fuel system would go out at that

exact moment, since the car ran fine prior to jacking. I have been

through the obvious-gas in tank, changed the fuses, no crimped fuel lines, etc. Can anyone

tell me how to check the fuel pump for proper operation? Anyone have

any other ideas on this strange turn of events? Also, I have checked

the voltage at the fuse and I get 0 volts. Is this normal when the

car is not running? Thanks in advance.
