My radio went out the other day and I found that the fuse had blown. Whenever I tried to put a new fuse in it would blow immediately. I deducted that I had a short somewhere. I also notices that the number 1 fuse connector has 3 wires going into it. 1 is by itself and 2 are connected together. I took the two connected out and it still blew. When I took the single out it did not blow.... and my radio worked fine! My question is what does that other wire do and is it even worth it to try and find the short. Everything that was working before seems to be working now. It is an old car and a lot of things don't work already. I have the Chilton's manual for my car and it doesn't seem to indicate what that wire does. It doesn't say in the fuse replacement book at the auto parts store. Does anyone have any thoughts/suggestions? Thanks.
