I am about to replace a rusty front fender with a non-rusty used one I just got from Voluparts (for $100, and $13 shipping, I might add). What are the tricks and pitfalls of this installation? What sealants do I use, either between the fender and the engine compartment/body or the fender and the wheel well? Would it be a good idea to paint the inside of the fender with POR-15 before installing it, as insurance against future rust? The fender is the same color as my car, but if it doesn't match perfectly, and I want it repainted, is it easier on or off the car?
