tailgate wiring harness 200 89

Did the job today. Followed Randy Starkie's procedure that he posted. Went well, but if I had to do it again I think I'd buy the harnesses, would have saved some time and wouldn't have burned my finger on the soldering iron. Doing one side at a time with the tailgate resting on a ladder is not as precarious as I thought it might be. Thanks Randy.

Bonus: A thunk in the back of the car had been bothering me for some time. Was thinking it had to be bushings, even though they check out ok. The tailgate was a bit loose when I removed the hinges, and now after tightening everything up the thunk is gone. (by the way, I fixed a thunk in the front by tightening the three bolts around the rear a-frame bushing holder/bracket - if you have a thunk up front check those)
