Alarm System 700 1988

Help! I was messing around with the alarm system in my 780, and now I can't turn it off! I switched the button on the electronic control unit (under the dash) to automatic and now whenever I open or close a door the alarm sounds for about 30 seconds. I then switched the button back to manual, and the little red light on the sensor in the window remained on and the problem continued! Also the code key will not work against the sensor. Help, what do I do to return the alarm system to manual, and make it stop beeping! Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!
