Lifter Clatter 900 93

Car is a 93 960 with 154000 miles, lifter clatter has progressed to the point where one or more lifters collapse at or below 1500 rpm even when car is fully warmed up. Solution would appear to be increase oil pressure or replace lifters. Any recommendations? The car consumes about 1/2 quart of oil in 5,000 miles. All regular maintenance up to date.
