Idle ... but there's more! 200 82

Here we go. 1982 240GL 2.3litre (CIS inject). Idle acts worse as the weather gets colder. Here's what has been done. Al the basics ...plugs, wires, rotor, battery, etc. The pulsair check valves had died so they are now rigged in a non-functioning matter for now. I have replaced every vaccum hose and cleaned the throttle body. Here are some things that I have found:

-there is NO throttle position switch ... no elec. wires anywhere near the throttle body. Did any of these cars have a signal directly from the position of the gas pedal?

-the warm air hose which I am assuming would take warm air from somewhere near the exhaust manifold is non-existent. Where would I run a new one to and will this cause a pulsing idle as the air cools off?

-fuel pumps fault ... changed, and now work great. Fuel pressure tests fine, but the idle bounces fromm 900-1200 and it wants to stall when I put her into gear, I havew figured out how to barely keep her going.

I am sorry if these are ignorant questions, but I bought her from an old lady and she has very few miles. I had to take her "AS IS". Any help on these matters would be greatly appreciated. My mechanic is a goof, and I am better off on my own, and with a few of you fine folks!!!

Thank-you kindly, Lisa!!
