manual trans oil type 700 90

I want to change the trany oil in El Rojo Grande, but am not sure what goes in there. The car has a 4 speed + OD. The FAQ implies Type F ATF, and the parts house pulled that up on the computer, but ATF in a manula trans sounds funny to me. Anyone know the right type of fluid? (I live in Califonia, by the way, so it's never really cold here).
