backup lights 200 1978

The number 12 fuse(window lift relay, heated seats, backup lights, and air conditioner) in my '78 264 GL blows after about 5 minutes of driving. When I bought the car, it had 1156 bulbs in the backup lights, but the owners manual calls for 1073 bulbs, and, since the fuse started blowing right after the right backup light burnt out, I think the bulbs may be the problem. I believe the previous owner had the electrical system converted to 12 volts. Does anyone know what type of bulb should be in the car?

Thanks!
