Hi, and thanks for the great info I've been getting from you people. Finally ran into something I can't find here or on the FAQ. Took a rear rotor off to work with the parking brake, noticed a bit of seepage from the axle seal. Did some research with local shops who inform me that to replace the outer seal requires destruction and replacement of wheel bearing, two hours labour plus expensive parts. Seepage was minimal but I don't want to do this too often... anybody had luck with just replacing the inner seal? The outer only retains grease if the inner is working properly, if I understand the setup correctly.
Also, the inner seal was about halfway back in its bore; seemed odd to me. Any knowledgable comments?
Also.... any thoughts on easy assembly of the parking brake shoes and springs? Seems a PITA.
