How is everybody doing?
Ok, here's the deal.My 245 was doing some serious stuttering a couple of weeks ago. So today I changed the fuel filter and my car is continuing to cough/stutter/lose power although, it is not as bad as before. When I press the gas,It takes my car a while to get up to speed.
I am not too sure about this problem but these are my thoughts:
My engine was kind of shaking when I was at stop lights and traffic.I could feel it from sitting inside my car. A few times the car cut off on me but when I cranked her up she would start right back up without any problems.
The weirdest thing is that after about driving 40 minutes, the car seemed to be working fine.
1 Should I check the distributor cap and rotor for any cracks? Wires and plugs?
2 Could my car be missing?
3 What about a clogged/dirty throttle body?
4 I tried to check to see if my in tank fuel pump was working and to my knowledge it is working. I pulled the #4 fuse to see if there was any change in the idle but there was no change. So I went to my girlfriend's car and checked her fuse and there was no change in the idling on her car. Maybe I did the test wrong.
5 I have not checked the ground wire by the fuel sender assembly. But I will first thing in the am. Any suggestions is appreciated.
