Idle climbed to almost 1500rpm and check engine came on 200 1990 242k

Please see my message about 60 posting ago about my idle problem. It is no longer skipping and sputtering but the Idle has climbed to 1500 rpm and my check engine light has come on. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
