Hi all.
Well today I cleaned out my throttle body.I did not remove because I was afraid it might not be aligned and I did not have a TB gasket. I just took a old rag and sprayed some TB cleaner on the rag and stated wiping it cleaned.I also cleaned my airbox and removed the t-stat and the heater hose. The car seemed to be ok but after driving to work I noticed the sputtering/coughing started back I have reason to believe that I AMM is faulty.
1 Is there a way of checking the Air Mass Meter to see if it is indeed faulty?
2 I saw one on ebay for 45.00. It is from a '86 or '87 245. The guy said that he bought a new one and then he wrecked his volvo. It also had 1500 miles on it.
3 I still need to check the ground wire off the in-tank sending unit to see if it is faulty.
Anything else I could check for?
There is two lines on top of the throttle body. One of the lines is a L shaped line. The top part of this line is cracked. I not sure but maybe this could be the problem. Thanks all for your previous information.
