engine noise update 200 90

Greetings board,

Ive decided to " wait and see". The car really does run good, so Im just going to drive it until it tells me, with a bit more certainty, what it

needs.

For those who havent visited this before, here is the problem: Its an engine noise which Im calling a knock. This knock is never heard at cold start up, it only begins after warming up about 3-5 mins. It is heard best in idle. Never under engine load. Sometimes I can hear the noise in drive after a hard drive, but only right after start up.

Noise is in lock step cadence with the #1 spark.

Here is what ive done: removed engine drive belts, verified that the noise is unheard when drive belts are not attached to engine.

Was not able to pinpoint the noise to any accessory. Fan clutch is good. verified.

All motor mounts are good.

Does anyone know where I can get a crash course on engine noises, and how to identify them?
