Guys,
I just picked up a 71 142e body with no rust but needs tons of work. No tranny or engine installed, only a rusted short block and a spare front suspension unit was thrown in. I got the whole pot for $50 on ebay. Did I get a deal?
I am saving this sweetheart from the crusher, she will roll again.
My big question is:
Which engine setup would you guys choose? I plan to make this a daily driver that gets good fuel economy. I am pretty good at troubleshooting the LH-jetronic stuff in my 244's, but have never looked at the D-jet.
The Weber kit from IPD looks super easy, but could I find the D-jet stuff and make it work? I have heard that it is much more efficient.
Are there 2 different B20 heads? One for FI and one for Carb?
My only parts car is a 75 164e, and that is not going to cut it in my opinion.
Does anybody have any parts/parts cars(144e preferred) that they wish to sell or trade in the south? I'm in western Arkansas and have a trailer and some cash!
