Volvo Mechanic Re Timing Belt, etc. 200 1986

A volvo mechanic offered to put a new timing belt, plus seals for 80.00. Is this a good deal? Also, I went back to the shop re my new breaks ssqueeking and the mechanic put grease on them. Duh, you would think that the grease would eventually wear off and the squeeking would come back just as it has. What is a solution to rid the squeeking noise. My neighbors can hear me coming.
