diagnostic unit problems- uk spec car 900 1992

please can anyone help:i cannot seem to get the error codes for the ignition (ezk unit).on the diagnostic unit fitted to my 92 940 turbo uk spec.the book says use socket 6 ,but all that happens is the led lights once only. useing socket 2 for fuel injection works fineany ideas welcome!!!
