My 240 is running fine, but....
It is showing codes 221 and 231 and the check engine light is on because of these codes. I have replaced the fuel pressure regulator and the O2 sensor. I have unplugged the battery to reset the computer a couple of times. All this and it runs fine. The AMM checks out ok as far as the resistance ckecks in the Haynes and Chilton. Are there any other checks I can do on it. If the car is runnuni and I unplug it, the car almost stalls which leads me to believe it is ok. Is this true?
Another question, I have wanted to check the fuel pressure but cannot find the correct size fittings to connect a pressure gauge. What size fitting is the fuel line to fuel rail (thread size) or where can I get a T to connect the gauge? Am I headed in the right direction? Everything I can think of checks out ok, but I am probably missing something stupid. BTW the car has 223,000 miles pretty well maintained.
Thanks guys and gals,
Ralph
