White smoke from the tailpipe..... 200 '88

i just cranked my car this morning, started fine w/nothing to note. i was letting it warm before my son an i left. as we walked to the car, i noticed very thin smoke coming from the tailpipe. i thought that since it was cold this morning that it must have been steam/mist lingering. i got in the car an goosed the gas. the thickest white smoke billowed from the pipe. what's going on here??

here's the most recent events:

replaced the cap, rotor, plugs, flame trap and all hoses to the trap (did this two days ago and it seemed to run fine yesterday.) i'm in real need of getting this repaired as quickly as possible, so if you know exactly what i need to do, please, please emial me directly and we can discuss it.
