Germal Model 240 200 1987

Hello all. Just bought a 1987 240 Wagon...first one. Haven't seen it as it is out of town. I had a friend of mine who is quite familiar with Volvo's to have a look at it and said it was a fantastic deal. Thought it was a North American model and did my research based on that. I found out today that the car was bought brand new in Germany by the current owner and shipped here when she moved to Canada. I was just wondering if anyone new the specs. for a German built 240, and if they are any different than North American ones? The owner of the car is not mechanically inclined and really cannot answer any of my questions. I won't be picking the car up until next week and I'm really curious to find out about 240's produced for the German market. My party that had viewed the car for me hasn't been able to find the time to check serial #'s, etc. for me, so I really have very little info. Can anyone help me out? Thanks, M.
