My 1984 240DL is not starting. I first thought it was the starter but it's not, starter is working. I took off the ignition wire from the coil at the distributor cap and cranked it. No spark. Tried changing out the coil, and still no spark. What should I check now? A previous post said that the hall sensor in the distributor could be bad. Where is this and how do I check it? Any other ideas? I haven't checked the timing belt yet? Would a bad belt cause the engine not to start at all? Thanks for any help you can give. Keith
