headlight upgrade/mirror switch relocation 200 93

I just bought a 93 245 and love the car. Way more solid than my 850 turbo. Anyway, I'de like some advice regarding a few upgrades I'd like to do:

1. Short of HIDs, what is a reasonable headlight upgrade? What about auxiliary driving lights - anyone wire them to a rocker switch on the dash?

2. The tiny power mirror switches are a real PITA, especially with the armrest. Anyone relocate these? I'm thinking about moving them to one of the blanks next to the rocker switches on the dash. Comments?

3. I notice there are two 2" blanks next to my vents. Are these for auxiliary gages? My gage pod has a clock instead of a tach. What's involved in swapping in a tach and installing some gages into these blanks? What years will work?
