140 Exhaust Systems 140-160

I have a carb'd144 that needs a new exhaust system. I have a spare (new) exhaust system, but it was bought for a 142 with fuel injection...bigger pipes than the 144. Any downside to using the bigger 142 exhaust to replace the smaller 144 exhaust? And does anyone know off hand if those two headpipe bolt patterns will match up before I start knocking away at rusty bolts? Thanks.
