Well, I am finally going to tackle the bushings on my 1972 164e. I hate to appear too cautious, but are the jacking points a solid place to put the car up on stands? If not, where would you all suggest? Also, how smart would it be to just replace the ball joints along with the bushings, sway bar, and shocks?
By the way, before I put it on ebay, I have ended up with an extra IPD sway bar - I think. My parts car is a 1974, and wouldn't you know, I found a perfectly good IPD sway bar on it, after I ordered another one from IPD. So I will probably end up with a spare w/ good bushings etc. Let me know if you could use - off Board.
I will probably be back a forth during this whole process, so bear with me.
Thanks,
Kent
