Nice day for a walk! (timing belt) 700 87

I was just checking a few things on my recently (600 miles) reinstalled head, timing belt, etc. and took off the top section of the timing belt cover. Sure enough, my new timing belt has walked about a 1/4" off of the cam sprocket and is rubbing against the belt cover. I also removed the crank pulley after seeing this and the thin metal flange shows that the belt is also riding against this. I did install a new tensioner with the belt. Any ideas? Is it possible I just installed the belt on crooked and it stayed that way? Thanks for any suggestions.

Dan
