Mopar in a Volvo:Has it been done 200 1985

I am considering dropping a v8 into my 85 244 GL but I have to decide which motor I can find that gives me that added power that I couldnt obtain from my N/A brick without a lot of major mods.Besides mine has over 210,000 miles but that dosent mean anything for a volvo-because it has been maintained, shes just tired. I want more response when I floor it not the feeling that I'm on a big riding lawn mower.I would like to see hopefully 275-300 horsepower with a few bolt-ons. I know of the converse kits for a 5.0 conversion. I was also very interested by hearing of a 350 small block with AOD in a volvo. I looked at both. I am leaning towards putting a 350 in when all of the necessary funds become available(maybe not for a while) My question is has anyone dropped a Mopar engine into a brick like say a 318 or a 340, 360 engine and what is the performance from that engine compared to the other two. Or should I just go with a 350. I know i could drop in a newer volvo turbo motor but I want a v8. I know it is a lot of work but I want to know if anyone has paved the path on a Mopar conversion.
