NOSE TRANSPLANT? 1988 to 1979? will it fit? 200 1979

I've got a 79, 245. I was just offered a 1988 244 parts car with a great body for $200. Will the nose of the 1988 240 bolt on to my 1979 or would it take a bit of modification? I may take the car regardless as it has a 3 month old exhaust system, new water pump, breaks and rotors but the nose would be the clincher.
