turbo removal... yecch! 200 1982

Well, ok, it doesn't really look like all that bad a job...

I identified the loud exhaust noise as being caused by the #1 cylinder exhaust gasket having failed. So off comes the manifold, obviously along with the turbo.

Here's the question: My car has a water-cooled turbo. I've pulled the lower rad hose... does the block need to be drained, too, or is this sufficient?
