Homebrew theft deterrent system 200 86

Does anyone else have those red (now faded to pink) window stickers that say, "Stop Thief!" ?? I always get a good chuckle out of those.

I'm not interested in a professional alarm system, but I have been thinking about putting together a homebrew system to mess with the punks that I often see wandering through the carport at night with gas cans. Would be funny as hell if the car suddenly fired up and all the lights came on (inside 'n out) while our young thief is struggling to get the gas cap off, a la "Christine." Bet that would leave skid marks in his briefs!!

Feasible?
