IPD Performance Cam. . . Hard to Install? 200 1982

The add for the performance cam in the IPD catalog says that the cam is easy to install and takes only a couple of hours. Don't you have to pull the engine out of the car with an engine hoist. If it's something that I can do myself, I would like to, because the description of "sluggish" through the power band seems to describe my car. Besides that it runs great. Has anyone (aside from you certified mechanics out there!) tried this with good results?
