ZF tranny, should replace with AW71? 700 86

The ZF4HP22 tranny in my '86 740 just started spewing fluid from

inside the bellhousing (1 pint/mile). Given the reputation this

tranny has, I'm undecided as to whether I should rebuild it

or replace it with an AW71. Has anyone done this swap?

Other than tranny, shifter and OD wiring, what else is needed?

Crossmember, driveshaft, ...? Also, what models/years will

interchange (240, 760)? Any opinions welcome...
