I've replaced both rear brake calliper's / disc's / pad's on my 1980 240 DL with carb engine. I used the Haynes Shop guide as reference to bleed the brake lines but have the following problem: After opening the bleed screw and pumping the brakes repeatedly - all fluid was drained out and now there is only air passing. The fluid container in the car is still full, and i've collected about 4oz or so in my glass bleed jar via the submerged tube - - so i'm guessing I've bleed the internal lines dry. What happened to the pressure - why is no fluid passing through the system for me to bleed the air out ?
any thoughts ? Andrew
