Noise from the rear of the car 900 92

I have a 92 960, 50k miles. There is a low humming sound coming from the rear end of the car. The faster I go the louder the sound. When I go around a curve one way it stops, go another way it gets louder. Weight shifting causes it to come and go. Anyway I was told bearings but I wanted a second opinion before the garage trip in two days.
